This course introduces a multifaceted approach to planning and guiding students, which will address preschool placement, exceptional student education, and school types. An exploration of parenting style, learning styles, and technology integrated curriculum will also be highlighted. A GURU will guide your understanding of resources ubiquitously, and recognizes the importance of individual differences, as well as social development.

During the course, interactive groups will be established through live coaching calls and a closed group forum to share and exchange ideas to build community. A GURU can assist with planning an educational pathway for your child, based on their individual needs.

This course features how to support your early learner, and provide options for the traditional and non-traditional student that is applicable to a wide range of contexts.

Our goal as GURUs are to provide quality, research based educational advice to parents, students, and educators about educational placement. As educators, we teach our children and students to be independent thinkers, that are able to view the world from all perspectives. We are excited to present this information from our perspective as parents and educators. We have served in the following roles: Teacher, Literacy Coach, Dean, Assistant Principal, and School Counselor. We have developed courses to equip anyone with the tools to support and advocate for students in the educational realm. While providing a platform for learning in any subject area because anything is teachable.

Amanda and Sharia desire to instill the values of education and equality, with hope that it will create a culture that will embrace diversity as a strength.

Education and Experience:

Collectively we have over 30 years of experience in the field of Education and have held positions at the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels, as well in the area of Online Learning and Distance Education. Both educators possess a Masters Degree in Counseling, and a Doctoral Degree in Education.
